Molins Technologies is delighted to announce that it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification of its quality management system for the design, build and installation of special purpose machinery and service solutions. The entire process took just under a year from inception to certification and demonstrates our commitment to providing quality products and services.
ISO, the International Organisation for Standardisation, is the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. International Standards are specifications for products, services and systems which ensure that they are safe, reliable and of high quality. To date, ISO has published 19,500 International Standards covering almost every industry.
ISO 9001:2008 is a standard that sets out the requirements of a quality management system. Using ISO 9001:2008 helps to ensure the provision of quality products and services, thus benefitting both a business and its customers. Becoming certified is a lengthy process, it is not only about developing a quality system, but checking that the system works for the business and adds value.
David Montgomery, Quality Manager at Molins Technologies, along with key employees from all aspects of the business, refined the existing processes and developed new ones to produce an efficient and user-friendly quality system in time for the stage one audit back in August 2014. After further use and improvements, mid-December saw the stage two audit which involved a rigorous assessment by BSI (British Standards Institution), the external certification body assessing Molins Technologies’ quality management system. Following the successful completion of the audit, Molins Technologies was delighted to receive its certification in January 2015.
